Archie Miller is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach for the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team. He was born on October 30, 1978, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and grew up in a basketball family. His older brother, Sean Miller, is also a college basketball coach.
Archie Miller played college basketball at North Carolina State University from 1998 to 2002, where he was a four-year letterman and served as team captain his senior year. After graduating, he began his coaching career as an assistant at Western Kentucky University, followed by stops at Arizona State University, Ohio State University, and the University of Arizona.
In 2011, Archie Miller became the head coach at the University of Dayton, where he spent six seasons. During his time at Dayton, he led the team to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances and an Elite Eight appearance in the 2014-2015 season. He also won two Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year awards.
In 2017, Archie Miller was hired as the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team. In his first three seasons, he has led the team to two NIT appearances and a 20-win season in 2019-2020.
